This can mean that the handle or lock becomes difficult to open or close, or it's not even locked in any way. It could be tempting to replace your entire window unit if this happens, but it is not always required. In many instances the case, a new handle or lock is enough.

The espagnolette design is the most common uPVC window handle. The handle comes with an outer spindle that extends from the handle. It is inserted into a gearbox that operates the multipoint locking system within the window. It's important to match the appropriate handle and lock to your windows to ensure that they function correctly.
